Pat Janeiro is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. They grew up in Lisbon, Portugal, during the 80s and have a sociology and fine arts studies background. Janeiro’s practice is rooted in a methodology of shared agency with place, time, and people. Their work embraces improvisation, reciprocity, and interdependency. Recent projects include 16mm film projection installations and performances. Their work has been showed at venues such as DfbrL8r Gallery in Chicago, SAW-Sofia Art Week in Sofia, IndieLisboa International Film Festival in Lisbon, Visions du Réel International Film Festival in Nyon, and the Oberhausen Film Festival, among others.
